There are various commands to help you find your way around Brettspielwelt. This set of standard commands is available to all users. Access to further commands is granted by rank. All commands are preceeded by a '/' and are typed as normal text into the chat line. The Enter-key executes the command.

Lists all commands which are available to you and offers online help.
You can get help for a specific command by appending its name. PLease note that not all of the online has been translated into english.
/ttell Opens up a chat window with a tutor who can answer your questions about Brettspielwelt. (This command is intended for newbies and is no longer available for users of rank Lehrling or higher.)
/thook Transports you to a tutor who can answer your questions about Brettspielwelt. (This command is intended for newbies and is no longer available for users of rank Lehrling or higher.)
Who is online right now?
/who Show users in the same room as you.
Output: -- 'miezeke' (Patrizierin aus ARMfeld) since (0:11:14.534)
/gwho Shows users in the same town as you. The room number is shown in square brackets, see /room.
Output: -- 'zenon' (Prior aus Monte Monaco) since (0:02:14.880) In dem Dorf [0]
/wwho Shows all users in the entire world. The room number is shown in square brackets, see /room.
Output: -- 'Michii' (Burggraf aus LosVelozes) since (0:22:31.254) In Santa Juego [C1-14]

Note: this command can generate a lot of output
Those three commands allow a TOWN to be be specified to limit the output to the inhabitants of one town (Only the first three letters are needed, so e.g. for EnglishTown, use /wwho Eng ).
/whereis NAME Tells you in which room NAME currently is, together with the corresponding line from the listroom command.
How do I move around?
/manager Teleports you to the main game manager. If you add a TOWN parameter, you are taken to that town's local game manager instead. E.g. /manager Eng
/room ROOMNR You are teleported to ROOMNR.
/game GAMENR You are teleported to GAMENR. Usually, GAMENR and ROOMNR are identical.
/hook NAME You are teleported to the room where player NAME is.
/ghook NAME You are teleported to the room where player NAME is, and the game in this room will be loaded.
Global Communication
/tell NAME TEXT Opens a private chat with NAME, no matter where NAME is located in the world. In tournament rooms, you can only talk with referees.
/twindow [on|off|switch] This command determines if private chats are displayed in a seperate window (on, the default), or if the text is displayed in the main chat window (off). switch toggles the current setting.
/ctell TEXT Opens a chat with all citizens of your home town (by default, this is the capital ARMfeld) no matter where they are located in the world.
/mutectell [on|off|switch] Disconnect yourself from the /ctell chat (on).
And reconnect again (off, the default).
switch toggles the current setting.
/shout TEXT TEXT is displayed to all users in the current town. In tournament rooms, your shouts are redirected to a referee.
/mtell NAME1,NAME2,...,NAMEx - TEXT Sends TEXT to multiple players, no matter where they are located in the world. You cannot mtell into or out of tournament rooms.
Channels
/channel CHANNELNAME Channels are global chats with no predefined group of participants, which you can enter or leave at will. Use this command to enter a specific channel. If no channel of this name previously exists, you create it.
You may prefer to use the channel-wizard in the tool bar.
/leave CHANNELNAME Use this command to leave a specific channel again. Empty channels vanish automatically.
You may prefer to use the channel-wizard in the tool bar.
/gtell CHANNELNAME TEXT Use this command to send text to a channel if you don't have the corresponding window open.
/chformed Lists all currently existing channels.
/mychannels Lists all channels you have joined at the moment.

Miscellaneous
/info NAME Displays user information in the Infobox for player NAME. The Infobox does not open automatically, click on the i in the toolbar. You can also click on names in the user window to see their info.
/away TEXT Activates an away message. If you execute the away command and another player tries to talk to you via the tell command, the given TEXT will be displayed. Executing the command without any TEXT puts you back into the action.
/titel [on|off|switch] Shows your rank in front of your name (on).
Default if off.
switch toggles the current setting.
/sound [off|on] Deactivates / activates the sound output.
/time [on|off] Activates / deactivates the time displayed at the chat line head. This might be helpful for tutors as the newbie questions may now be sorted chronologicaly.
