Carcassonne Jäger und Sammler - Rules
At last! Primeval Carcassonne!

1. Preparation
In the main chat:

Type /join and press Enter to join the game;
Type /start and press Enter to begin the game (2-5 players).

Or if you prefer, you can use the game administration tools.
2. The Game
The players create a world map and score points by drawing and playing tiles representing forests, rivers, and meadows. The players may play Gatherers on rivers or in forests, which score when the river or forest is completed. They may also play Hunters in meadows, or Fishing Huts on rivers, which do not score until the end of the game.
3. Turn Summary

On your turn, you play the tile that appears in the lower right corner. It must be placed so that at least one of its edges touches the edge of an already-played tile, and all edges that touch must match (river edge to river edge, meadow edge to meadow edge, forest edge to forest edge). Use the green, double-headed arrow to turn the tile until it is oriented properly, and then click an empty space in the world map to place the tile.

After tile placement, you may place a figure: A Hunter in a meadow, a Gatherer on a river or in a forest, or a Fishing Hut on a river. You may only place a Hunter, Gatherer or Fishing Hut on the tile you have just placed.

Only one piece may occupy a single continuous meadow, forest or river. (EXCEPTION: a Gatherer and a Fishing Hut may occupy the same river.) Multiple pieces can only occupy the same landscape when two or more separate landscapes containing Hunters, Gatherers and/or Fishing Huts are joined together by playing a connecting tile.

The zoom tool can be used to magnify areas of the map in order to view details. The green numbers select the magnification level, and the green letter A restores a panoramic view of (A)ll tiles played. When a zoom level is selected, you may choose which area of the world map to view by clicking and holding on a section of the map, and dragging the map around under the view window.
WARNING: If it is your turn, be careful where you click when using the zoom tool; you might accidently place your tile or figure there!

In the upper right corner of the window, there is a display of the players' names, current point totals and unplayed pieces.
4. Scoring and End-of-Game

Scoring:

Forests (Gatherers):
When a forest is completed, the player(s) who have played the most Gatherers in the forest score points. Then all players retrieve any Gatherers they have played in the forest. Every part of the forest (each tile usually adds one part) is worth two points. Any Mushroom tiles in the forest score two additional points. When a forest with a gold nugget is completed, the player who completed the forest gets an extra tile drawn from a pile of 12 special tiles. The special tile must be played immediately. If the special tile completes another forest, the player does not get to draw another special tile. Unfinished forests do not score any points.

Rivers (Gatherers):
When a river is completed (rivers end at sources and lakes), the player(s) who have played the most Gatherers on the river score points. Then all players retrieve any Gatherers they have played on the river. Each part of the river (each tile usually adds one part) is worth one point. Each fish in a lake at the ends of the river scores one additional point. Unfinished rivers do not score any points.

Rivers (Fishing Huts):
Fishing Huts only score at the end of the game. The player(s) who have played the most Fishing Huts in a river network score points. Each fish in the river network is worth one point.

Meadows (Hunters):
Hunters only score at the end of the game. The player(s) who have played the most Hunters in a meadow score points. Each mammoth, auroch, and deer in the meadow is worth two points. However, each tiger in the meadow will eat a deer, thus subtracting the points for the Hunter.

The game ends when the last tile has been placed. All meadows and river networks are then scored. The player with the highest score wins.

5. Special tiles
The Stone Circle: A hunter placed on the Stone Circle will win this meadow for his player, and only for him, regardless of any other pieces played in this meadow. A hunter may only be placed on the Stone Circle according to the normal rules for placement of a hunter. In other words, the meadow needs to be unclaimed at time of placement.
The Fire: All tigers are driven out of this meadow.
Auroch: Just like mammoths, they add 2 points to the value of the meadow, and are not eaten by tigers.
Mushrooms: They add 2 points to the value of the forest.
