Halali-Rules
A wonderfully unfair game for 2 players

1. Preparation
In the main chat:

Type /join and press Enter to join the game;
Type /start and press Enter to begin the game (2 players).

Or if you prefer, you can use the game administration tools.
2. The Game
One player takes the role of the humans (hunters and lumberjacks), the other takes the role of the beasts (bears and foxes). Both sides try to capture as many opposing pieces as possible. The first player to join the game will play the humans.
3. Movement

As your turn, you
either click on a face-down tile to flip it over
or click and drag a face-up tile to move it.

The following movement rules apply:

- Hunters and lumberjacks (brown tiles) can only be moved by the human player.
- Bears and foxes (blue tiles) can only be moved by the beast player.
- Pheasants and ducks (green tiles) can be moved by either player.
- Trees cannot be moved.
- Moves are only made in straight lines across empty spaces, orthogonal not diagonal.
- Bears and lumberjacks can only move one space, other tiles can be moved as many spaces as desired.
- A player may never move a tile back to the space on which it started on its previous turn, i.e. you may not reverse your last move.
- A duck or pheasant may not be moved if it was turned face-up or moved by your opponent on his previous turn.

4. Capturing

Points are earned by capturing tiles. However, captures are restricted by the following rules:

- Only lumberjacks can cut down trees
- The hunter can shoot any animal: bears, foxes, ducks and pheasants. The hunter may always move in any direction but he can only shoot (capture) when he is moved in the direction that his rifle points. Hunters cannot be rotated to aim in another direction.
- The bears only eat hunters and lumberjacks.
- The foxes only eat ducks and pheasants.

To capture a tile, simply move your tile onto the other tile with a click and drag.

5. End of Game and Scoring
The game ends 5 turns after the last face-down tile is turned over. This means that both players will get 5 more moves after the last tile is turned face-up. During the last 5 moves, each player is allowed to move his own tiles (blue for the beasts, brown for the humans) off the board. There are 4 exits, one in the center of each edge of the board. Any of your own tiles that you are able to move out of the forest (off the board) during the last 5 turns will score points. To remove a tile from the forest, click and drag it onto the large Halali! logo to the right of the board. The game will end immediately if all of the tiles are face-up and a player does not have any tiles of his own color left on the board.

Points for capturing or rescuing tiles are as follows:

Bear 10 Points
Fox 5 Points
Hunter 5 Points
Lumberjack 5 Points
Pheasant 3 Points
Duck 2 Points
Tree 2 Points

If both players have the same score, then the player who took more tiles during the game wins.

In the next game, the players should swap the roles of the beasts and humans.

We wish to thank mherms for the superb translation.
