The object of the game is to move all of your stones into your
home board and then move them off the board.
The 24 fields are called "points". They are numbered 1 to 24.
In the middle of the board is the "Bar", The Bar
Divides the board into 4 quadrants wth 6 points each.
The quadrants are the outer and home for each of the 2 players as shown in the illustration.

| 4. Movement of the stones |
|
 |
|
The dice roll indicates how many points you may move your stones.
The following rules govern the movement of the stones:
- The 2 dice represent 2 seperate moves. If you roll a 3 and a 6
you move one stone 3 and another stone 6. You can move a single stone
9 only if the intermediate move(either 3 or 6) would be legal.
- If a point has 2 or more stones of the other player you can't move there.
- If you roll doubles(ex. 6 and 6) you move twice. So a player rolling 4 and 4 actually
gets 4 moves of 4.
- If legally possible a player must use both moves or in the case of doubles all 4 moves.
If the player has only one legal move but can use either die, they must use the large one.
If a player has no legal moves, they lose their turn.

|
 |
|
A point that has only one stone is known as a "blot". If a stone
from the other player ends its move on a blot, the blot is hit and the
stone is placed on the bar.
Any time one or more of your stones is on the bar, you must first move
them back onto the board, known as "entering" before you can move any stone
that is already on the board.
You enter by moving a stone from the bar to an open point on your opponents home quadrant
that corresponds to one of the die rolls.
If a player is able to enter some of his stones from the bar , but not all, he must enter
as many as possible. Any further movement that turn is lost.
After a player has entered all of his stones, he may use any remaining die rolls to move any
other stone.

 |
| 6. Moving stones off the board |
|
 |
|
Once a player has moved all of their stones into their home quadrant
they may begin to move stones off the board.
To move off a stone, you must have a die roll that corresponds to the position
of the stone in your home quadrant as follows:
- For Red, point 19 would require a 6, point 20 requires a 5 etc.
- For Black point 6 would require a 6, point 5 would require a 5 etc.
- If there is no stone on the point corresponding the dice roll the
player must make a legal move using a stone on a higher point.
- A player is not required to move off if they have another legal move
- If a stone is hit during the move off process, you must enter that stone
and move it into your home quadrant before you resume moving off.
- If there is no stones on the higher number point and you roll one
of those numbers, you must move off the highest position stone you have.

|

|
The game ends one one player has moved all of their stones off the board.
The game score is the number of movement points the other player would
need to move all of their stones off the board.
